Crystal’s $72 Walgreens + Kroger Searching Excursions (+ our menu)

I’m so energized to be back to sharing my grocery journeys and menu plans after having time off for my maternity go away! My objective is to do my Kroger procuring on Wednesdays or Thursdays and then write-up right here by Friday so people who have a Kroger that has the very same product sales as mine can consider advantage of the specials in advance of the sale is performed (Kroger sales in our location operate Wednesday by Tuesday).

Stick to me on Instagram tales for real-time films on what I’m buying if you never want to have to wait around for me to get the write-up composed up for the blog!

If you’re new right here, I follow the Buy In advance Principle — which implies that what we get each individual week is normally for upcoming weeks. We stock up on the most effective deals and markdowns each and every 7 days and that usually means that we then have a wide range of goods from past purchasing excursions to use to prepare a menu from.

In addition to practicing the Buy Forward Principle, I Reverse Meal Prepare. This means that I plan based mostly upon what we have on hand plus what great sales/markdowns I found at the retailers. (Read through additional about Reverse Food-Scheduling listed here.)

Here’s what we bought…

We only invested $57 on groceries very last 7 days, so I experienced extra to expend this 7 days. Jesse went to Walgreens and picked up the $1.99 Arm & Hammer laundry detergent + a 50 % gallon of milk. His total was $11.53.

And then yesterday I went to Kroger and bought all of these groceries for $59.97. So I continue to have $11 remaining in the funds for this month. I’ll possibly use it for a terrific offer that pops up or a little something we need in excess of the up coming number of days or I’ll roll it in excess of to future week.

I was fired up by this sale on peaches/nectarines! Use the digital coupon and you can get five lbs for just $.99/lb. Cheese was $4.99 for 32-oz bags and blocks with the electronic coupon. And blueberries were $2.99 for an 18-oz. carton.

They also had watermelons for $2 and $2.99!!

I picked up these two bags of tomatoes marked down to $.99 every. So I made a variation of Do-it-yourself Salsa working with what we have on hand and am thinking of earning a Tomato Pie for the first time with the relaxation.

You can enjoy this online video to see every thing I received and what I paid.
